Boss sketches of the Wraith for our project game. Phase one is the humanoid, where he's infected and the infection is spreading through his body, and phase 2 is the thing he evolves (or de-evolves) into.

This illustration is an homage to Weaveworld, a novel by Clive Barker. It depicts "The Scourge" posessing another character.

Moving Mountain- "sound creature"

This was done for the "Creature of the Week" contest held on the conceptart.org forums. The idea was to listen to a sound file provided and design a creature that would make the noise/s. This six-legged behemoth carries its babies on its back in a specially-formed "dip" in the boney hump. The spines provide both defense and protection, keeping the babies in their nest and unwanted predators out. If one should fall, it will cry loudly, which alerts the parent to dip to its knees and allow its lost baby to scale the rough part of its back. Its feet are broad pads that help cushion its stride and distribute its weight on the swamp's unsteady ground.

Inspired by the mineral "kyanite", I created this for conceptart.org's Creature of the Week contest, whose theme was "arctic juggernaut". It uses a sharp, beaklike tongue to break ice and stab through its prey, which is usually seals, and the occasional whale (or human).
